Devotion passage this morning : Haggai 2:1-9
Verse 4b : take courage, declares the Lord and work for I am with you...
Verse 5b : My Spirit is abiding in your midst, do not fear.
Although this passage was on rebuilding of the temple and was specifically given to Zerubbabel (governor) and Joshua (high priest), I felt it was like telling me about the task that the CG and I are undertaking in planning for the church camp. This is with reference to See Chee's email two days ago. I sensed like, hey we better be careful when we make decisions lest we have lots of answering to do.
Personally I did not feel too good after reading. Somehow this passage today assures me otherwise. It urges me to be brave, press on and literally work because God is with me and His Spirit is abiding in my midst. It seems to be telling me not to fear, just work and remember He is with me.
