It is Clem's 15 th birthday today and he was very excited to receive his gifts from us since last night. He woke up cheery and gay, relishing the thought that he is celebrating his special day with his Sec 3 friends from TM. I prayed a blessing over his life using Lk 2: 52 and asked that Col 4:5,6 will be true in his life.

It is also today that our CG took a practical step to appreciate our pastors, ministry workers and administrative staff in Bartley. We arranged for tim sum lunch to be delivered to church office. I actually went to church around 10 am to lay a disposable tablecloth, place a small pot of flowers and some plates and bowls. Delivery man called me at 12.50 pm to inform me that he has arrived. Glad to note that there was just enough for all.

Tonight I had a dinner treat from a friend at a Japanese Family Restaurant called Tamon at 214 East Coast Road. The food was really yummy especially the toro sashimi (fatty tuna belly) which tasted so heavenly. I have heard about it before but did not get a chance to bite into one till tonight. Apart from the sashimi, the yakitori assortment were equally scrumptious. We had squid, mushrooms, asparagus wrapped with bacon, lady-fingers, beef, pork, quail eggs, chicken and even garlic. Then there were grilled sanma fish and salmon belly. Even have curry udon, cha-soba, zaru-soba, tempura, teriyaki chicken, tofu, etc. Aiyoh, lost count how many dishes we had in total. I even have a little sake to end it all. A totally satisfying meal especially to me because I truly adore Japanese cuisine. I will most likely return to this eat-out with my Chua gang in the near future.
