Last Sunday, five of us: Guek Mei, Lay Hiong, Siew Chin, Sor Yian and I the ex-RG girls met at Singapore Recreation Club to chat and catch up with Sor Yian who is back for Summer break from Shanghai with her family. It was a great afternoon just sitting down drinking and snacking as we updated each other on the happenings in our lives.

We last had our last big class gathering two years in Hotel Mercure with an impressive attendance of 26. Quite an achievement to be able to get in touch after leaving Secondary school thirty years ago! So much for big gatherings like that, not much chance to relate to every one on a personal level so meeting in small groups of 4 or 5 is a better option.

We have inevitably aged, TC calls us mature ladies (thank him for the compliment). Believe I stood out most due to my obviously greying crown. Apart from the physique, our personalities remained unchanged. We are still able to strike a close cord with each other where we talked about school, teachers, classmates, careers, family, children and even household appliances. Guek Mei introduced us to the irobot which she purchased not too long ago and how it was a great help to her in keeping house clean. Our eyes are indeed enlightened as she shared with us the ease with this small device and we are all very interested to purchase one even Sor Yian who wanted to bring one home to Shanghai when she leaves on 18 August. Am thankful that we all believe in the same El-Shaddai and even though we worship in different places, we are able to share spiritually. After spending 4 hours in the lounge, we conclude we should meet again maybe in another 6 months time to keep close touch with each other.
