Whee! I finished one full year of BSF studying the Book of Romans. In the beginning of the year, I was really hesitant whether I can make it because I know it is not an easy book and timing was a challenge and struggle for me this year. As i looked back and reflected, I am indeed thankful I made it with God's help and have been greatly enriched with the teachings on propitiation, justification, sanctification, redemption, righteousness and glorification. Big deep words but they certainly brought much enlightenment to my faith in God. This study of Romans has deepened my knowledge of God, challenged my conviction of who God is. Do I really believe in the depths of my heart who God is and not just having a cognitive knowledge of Him?

As I sift through the gems, two outstanding lessons I learnt are firstly to always have a high view of God. Only when I have a high view of God will place all things in proper perspective. This is especially so when things do not always the way you desire and when situations turn awry and beyond my control. The second lesson is the way I live is how God's glory is displayed. This caused me to ponder and check if I am living my life to display His glory or my own.

It is breaktime now before lessons resume on 27 February 2008. I have registered to continue studying the Gospel of Matthew next year and am excited to discover more precious nuggets from God along the way.
