Was invited to a business associate appreciation dinner at Lawry's last night. They have moved from Paragon to Mandarin Gallery.
Went with Jiahui and we had the following set dinner;
*Homemade limpa and sourdough bread
*Seafood zucchini
*Lawry's famous original spinning bowl salad
*California Cut (slice of signature prime rib of beef 140g with Idaho mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, whipped cream horseradish and creamed corn)
*English trifle
*Tea with praline chocolate
Meal was excellent especially the prime beef which is their specialty. The accompanying creamed corn was yummy. Portions served were just nice and not overwhelming. Assistant manager Imran told us that their prime beef comes in 3 sizes; 140g, 280g and a whopping 340g! Patrons who came in ordering the 340g only eat that and nothing else. Cannot imagine how big a 340g portion of beef will look. Other than the beef, I enjoyed the breads and the yourshire pudding which was my first. A real good combi with the beef sauce.
Though the meal was scrumptious, I am not sure if I were willing to go again as a paying customer. Not cheap!!!
